●Measures for VOCs in emitted gas
In March 2006, as the 1st project using a special lending system for reducing VOC emissions, jointly sponsored by Shoko Chukin Bank and the Japan Federation of Gravure Printing CO-OPs, a K-filter type “Solvent collection system” for reducing VOC emissions was introduced in the Tochigi Factory.
In December the same year, as the 2nd project, “Environmental measures facilities” for reducing VOC emissions and odder was introduced in the Tokyo Factory.
What is VOC?
VOC is an abbreviation for Volatile Organic Compounds. Examples include IPA, toluene and ethyl acetate contained in paints, printing inks, adhesives, cleaners, gasoline and thinners.
VOC is considered as one of the factors that cause oxidase smog by photochemical reaction in the air.
