Founded in 1914, Toho Packaging INC. has a long history, including the fact that the company delivered wax coated packaging paper to MORINAGA & CO., LTD when MORINAGA produced the first hand packaged caramel in Japan. In 1948, Toho Packaging was renewed to become a stock company, and, in addition to the conventional departments for various types of wax coating, the processing departments for plastic films and paper were created, as well as that for aluminum foil processing. Since then, the company has added equipment such as machines for multicolor gravure printing, dry laminate, and bag-making in response to changes in society. The company also set up the image processing department, establishing consistent facilities from design, proofing, printing, dry laminate, to slitter and bag-making to date.
